Cabin Life – February 19, 2011

Big rain storm yesterday. We had 3.6″ in one day. Since all the tractor work and digging in the road, the rain made the road very slippery. Both Dennis and Bob got stuck in the mud, but luckily the tractor made it easy to get out. Friday night, the night of the storm, we both parked down at Second Chance and walked up the hill in the dark and rain. It was really roughing it, but fun at the same time. Sunday we may get snow.

Here’s a video of the creek after the rain:

And a short video of a neat spring that comes after a lot of rain on the trail we walk with Ginger:

  1. I’ve been slow responding to your blogs, I guess I need to be more on the ball…….I guess it is too much to hope for Lake Henshaw coming up to the road! LOL! Guess they are putting in the new pipeline without our help! Love you both and keep on trucking up that hill…..

  2. Really liked the video’s. You sure did get plenty of rain. Bob got stuck pretty good. Good thing he wasn’t too close to the edge. Nice creeks. Love ya
