Today we finally made the hike down into Borrego from Culp Valley to Hellhole Canyon. It’s about 5.5 miles and took about 3 hours. The elevation drop is 2,675 feet. It was a nice day for it, with a cool breeze on top. But once we got to the desert floor the temperature was 85 degrees. Pretty nice for March. We are supposed to get rain and drizzle for the weekend.

We were wondering if you got to go today, the weather was rainy up here but it looks like it was perfect for your hike. Sounds like it is mostly downhill so I think I could do it, it is going uphill that is a challenge.
Sounds like a nice hike but too much for me. That is for younger people.
