Cabin Life – February 27, 2011

Cold storm this weekend. First we had almost 2″ of rain Saturday, then that night it turned to snow. On Friday, Bob got a Burn Permit from the fire department. He did the first burn of the Season on Saturday. Sunday, after a walk with Ginger in the snow, we burned the rest of what we had cut, and then did some more brush cutting.

Sunday night we decided to get some propane, and it was crazy in Santa Ysabel with all the people from the city coming to see the snow. They were crossing the barbed wire fence and building snowmen in the pastures with less than an inch of snow. A steady line of cars was leaving Julian all the way to Ramona.

  3. Hi, You really had a good amount of snow. At least it doesn’t last long. Poor ginger was all muddy in the one picture. We are still getting rain tonight. Amazing how people will drive to see snow. Not me!!
