I’ve been seeing this dog for more than 3 months and was afraid he was going to get hit because he always walked on the highway.  Glad he was captured.  Sad if someone abandoned him.

Rumors of Warner Springs Ranch

Word is there may be a soft opening for neighbors of Warner Springs Ranch Golf Course this week.  Not sure if this will continue to the General Public or just be for one day.  Check back for updates.

Lots of activity around the Golf Course at Warner Springs this Saturday.

Warner Springs Ranch Updates

The Julian JournalRanch_JJ_June15 published a hard to find article (click on the link to the left and see if you can find it) about the Ranch this week.  No information on the Opening Date.

In addition there was news about the new Golf Director for the company that owns the Ranch.  He is going to Byron Casper.

Byron Casper returns to San Diego as Corporate Golf Director for Pacific Hospitality Group, including Warner Springs G.C.
WARNER SPRINGS, Calif. — Byron Casper has been named the corporate golf director of Pacific Hospitality Group, which includes the newly renovated Warner Springs Ranch golf club, due to open this summer, and the Salt Creek Golf Club.
Casper, an International PGA member and son of the late professional golfing legend Billy Casper, will also be the head golf professional for Warner Springs Ranch Golf Club and its sister club, Salt Creek Golf Club in Chula Vista, near the U.S. Olympic Training Center.

Finally Dennis  heard that the people who ran “Ponch Villa’s” in Sunshine Summit and also still run the Mexican/Pizza Restaurant in Julian were hired to run the Golf Grill.  The food was always good there, but the service was questionable, so it is not clear if this is good news.  At least things seem to be moving forward..

PCT Kickoffs

Hiking Season is in full swing for Dennis at the Post Office.  Warner Springs Community Center sets up to serve the hikers.
