Cabin Life – July 7, 2013

Another day today over 100 degrees. Dennis worked in the garden this morning and Bob got the trim on West side of the house repainted. Yesterday Bob met David on Palomar to check out a property on East Grade Road. It was really nice, off-grid with a 220 volt solar system, giant garage, great home, 24 acres and a view toward Hot Springs Mountain (Warner Springs) and a big sky. Later the Realtor took us to see a house on Bailey Road on Palomar. The Bailey Palomar Resort is one of the oldest places on the Mountain, but Bob doesn’t remember going there. They were having a Barn Sale, with food and music. Saturday evening, Tom and David from Ramona came up for dinner. At least it cooled down by Sunset.

The Naked Chef

Bob is making homemade gnocchi, but he was wearing shorts. So only a partially naked chef…

Hot 4th of July

5 pm and still 101°.  We did get some shelves in tractor shed.  Too hot to cook. Going to Wynola for dinner.

Another Hot Day

No cool down at Cielo Grande. High of 110 degrees today. A record for our thermometer.

At Gambling Cowboy for Lunch

In Temecula. We thought it would be hot, but it’s only in the 80’s.  Hope the ocean breeze makes it home.

106° Cafe

Six pm, still 106°.  Only hope is to cook on the grill.  Might as well make it a fancy dinner for two (plus dog and 2 cats).  Thank Wild Old Dog for air conditioning.
