Cabin Life – November 06, 2010

Today is Don and Marilyn’s last day for fall visit to Cielogrande. We had a lot of fun the past two weeks. And for the last few days the weather has been really good and making it hard to go back to the cold in the Midwest. Yesterday we had lunch in Julian and checked out the town. Then, for dinner we headed down to Borrego Springs to the Italian restaurant at the airport. They are really working on putting in the new power poles. A helicopter has been doing a lot of the lifting work and Marilyn has had fun taking pictures of it in action. Check out her Facebook page for some of her good work. There is also the base of one of the poles down by our road in, so we can see what they will look like.

Last Monday Dennis had the great idea of having Thanksgiving Dinner early. We are very thankful for all the love and support we get from our Family and Friends and shared a simplified, but still great turkey dinner with Don and Marilyn. Then we made a couple of leftover turkey dinners during the week. Open faced sandwiches and then a turkey soup. Dennis and Bob think they will have Prime Rib come Thanksgiving, but we’ll see.
