Cabin Life – April 15, 2012

After a soggy week, over 2″ for the week, Sunday was a spectacular day. Bob’s been doing on-stage rehearsals for the next Opera, but both he and Dennis had Sunday off. Nice walk with Ginger in the morning. We got our last small pile of brush burnt. Then we installed the old gas stove at the Guesthouse and put the siding on the outside of the shower. On Saturday, Ron (26hiking.com) came and picked up a package from Dennis. Dennis took a picture of him and got to talk with him. He seemed like a nice guy and it’s nice to be able to read his blog or follow him on Facebook and see what it is like to hike the PCT. If he makes it all the way to Canada it will take him 26 weeks. Week one is done.

  1. Wow, you got quite a bit of rain and I am sure you are happy. You guys always keep busy doing something all the time. I enjoy the hiking 26 too. He has some neat pictures. I intend to follow him on his walk. I see he said Dennis was nice and helpful to him. Can’t wait to get out there, it won’t be too long. Love you guys.
