Very sad day on the mountain

image

Woke up this morning to find Zeus laying on the ground crying. He lost use of the lower half of his body. From best I can tell from the internet, it was saddle thrombosis. Similar to a stroke, it is caused from a blood clot cutting off blood flow to the lower half of his body. It sounded like they don’t usually recover from that. We planned on taking him to the vet tomorrow to be put to sleep. He slept most of the day, but then got worse late this afternoon and passed away this evening. We will miss you dear friend , safe travels…..

  3. Sorry to hear of Zeus. He was a great cat. When I was there, I would go into the garage. He would come over and let me scratch him. It was nice to hear him purr whiel I stroked him, gave him a bit of food, and then watched him go find a spot to sit.
