Drive through Kettle Corn in Santa Ysabel

A couple has opened up a drive through Kettle Corn shop in the old gas station at the intersection in Santa Ysabel. Bob bought some on his way to work on Friday to support this mom and pop shop and said they might have good luck with the weekend traffic to Julian for Apple Days. Typical for the back country, the guy said they usually work high school sports events on the weekend so they might not have time to man the shop. That seemed crazy to Bob with all the people driving out from San Diego on the weekend. But when Bob drove in to work on Saturday there was no one at the shop around 11 am.

Santa Ysabel Kettle Corn Shop - not open when there are lots of people driving by.

  1. Send Dennis down there to work the weekend shift he needs to find a real job anyway

    1. I guess I could go work there on my one day off a week that have!! My excellent sales skills would require them to expand to more locations. I would suggest you could come and help out, but I don’t think your back could handle lifting those small bags of popcorn.

  2. I love Kettle Corn, as do most people. I guess he just doesn’t get it! A good idea turned bad……..

  3. You would think they would want to be open on the weekend for a lot of business. Guess you never know about people.
