When Don and Brenda were here in the Spring we were throwing her ball on the trail to the highway and it got lost. Bob’s been looking for it for a long time and last week finally found it in a bush on the side of the trail. It pays not to give up.
This weekend we had our friend Roz up for a retreat. She helped Bob stain the jacuzzi and do some cleaning while she was here. She also did a good harvest of the garden and we made fresh tomato sauce for dinner one night. Sunday we did some more projects up at the Guesthouse. We finished putting in a drip edge on the West side and then put siding up on the outside of shower wall. Bob also did some painting.

Our friend Roz came for a long weekend visit, and Eric and Jen came for the day on Saturday afternoon . We had wine and enjoyed the sunset, then went to dinner at Wynola Pizza.
Last weekend some general work on the Guesthouse. We stained the front patio pads, put in two more posts for the bar railing on the deck, and Dennis did some transplanting of Century Plants up to the Guesthouse. Bob has also been continuing with painting before the Winter. He got the Pressure Pump house painted. We also installed some new top and side seal on the Garage by the A-Frame. Hopefully it wont leak this year like the last two years.
This weekend we have Roz visiting.

Power came back around midnight. Only 9 hours out. Not so bad.
Dennis made it home. We had a leftover dinner and now to just wait for power. The radio says some lights are coming back on in town. A good website for news is: http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/lanow/blackout/
