I had to go Black Canyon to Ramona. That’s the dirt road through Mesa Grande. It took over an hour and was like the old days having to wait for cars to pass at narrow parts. A lot of people were doing it. On my way home last night they were replacing the power poles.

New song for me. I was searching for Victoria Williams on Spotify. She’s at the very end and doesn’t sing much, but I just love how she sings.
Things have slowed down after the Holidays and all our visitors last month. We did get a nice soaking of rain last weekend. Bob is working the first Opera of the Season so he doesn’t have to go into town every evening. We got two piles of brush burned during the wet weather. We continue to cut and clear brush as we can. On Sunday we finally visited Matilda’s Mouse Antiques in Valley Center. It’s only open one weekend a month and Linda told us that it was open. We looked for some stuff for the Guesthouse, but no luck this month. The wet weather cause a rock to slide onto the road and we were hoping to bring it up by the Guesthouse, but it proved too heavy for the tractor and Dennis pushed it off to the side out of the way.

From Astronomy Pic of the Day today. Very nice.
Watched “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” on a rainy night on Netflix. Cried when she found Cat. “Moon River” is a favorite song.

The Borrego Art Institute had is opening reception tonight and Dennis had read about it in the “Borrego Sun”. We decided to make the drive down to check it out and have dinner in the desert. It was a very well attended event and the gallery looks great, right on Christmas Circle where the old store used to be.
