We started our day with Dennis venturing out to a bake shop to get us pastries. To take the key to get back into the apartment also shuts off all the power, so if Dennis and Bob went together, Mike would be without power. He brought them back after some fun with Spanish to explain if he wanted them to eat in, or out.
Then we set out for some sightseeing. We walked to the Cathedral and figured it would be good to see first. It’s quite a building. You can walk up the tower and get good views of the city.
It’s been nice that the three large cities we’ve visited have been so different. Madrid, even though it has old parts, feels a little more kept up and has the feel of a big city, Granada seemed more old and mysterious. Of course, we only stayed in Granada one night and every place has seemed more confusing when we first arrived. We were also staying in the old part of the city. And Sevilla has been a pleasant mix of the two. The river really gives the city a different feel.
In the afternoon, after a little something to eat, Dennis and Bob took a walk to Plaza de España (a remarkable building made for 1929 Exposition) and through the park and gardens. They were very nice, though not as manicured as the garden in Madrid.
For dinner we ate at an excellent restaurant Tim had noticed the night before. Someone outside said you should make a reservation, which Tim tried to do, but it was booked for Friday. He pleaded as only Tim can do and they said if we came at 8:30 and were done by 10 pm we could have dinner. Here in Spain you are never rushed to eat, but since we heard the food was good (rated number 2 in Sevilla on TripAdvisor) we said we would come back. The funny thing was that when we arrived at 8:30 we had the place to ourselves which felt a little odd (the place was small, seemed like less than 15 tables). The staff was very nice (it was our waitress’ first night and she was adorable), the meal fantastic, and by the time we were finished eating the place was full and we had the experience of a good Spanish meal.
After dinner we took a long walk to show time a part of town Dennis and Bob had seen where they sold tiles and as we wandered we came across so many little plazas and streets full of people enjoying the night. It was something like we have never seen. What a joyous place!
Tomorrow back to Madrid to start our trek home.

I love all the pictures but especially Bob sitting in front of the Almeria Mural. Wish we could be there when you return to Cielo Grande but will be happy when you are on USA soil. Love you lots!
Tim your shoes blend in with the tiles. Dennis has his mouth full in the one picture. Everything is so amazing. what a wonderful trip.
